Information
Many countries are struggling with conflict and climate-related risks; yet good design and “risk aware” aid investments can help donors and implementers identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and help communities become more resilient. This session will explore the practicalities of programme design in these settings, using examples from recent programmes in Sudan and Haiti. This session will show how programmes can respond to emerging opportunities and shocks; examine opportunities for donors to build in flexibility; look at how teams adapt PSD and MSD practice to be more applicable in FCAS, and compare tactics for staying / divesting when conflict flares.
