Emmanuel Otim is an Agriculture economist with over 10 years of experience driving market systems development (MSD) and private sector engagement in East Africa. As MSD Technical Lead and Implementation Lead for Mercy Corps in Sudan, he currently leads Mercy Corps’ MSD programs, funded by Sida, CGAIR, and others. Emmanuel is among the pioneers of MSD Programs in Sudan and has significantly scaled the MSD portfolio. His expertise also spans food security, livelihoods, resilience and has worked in relief, recovery and development programs in Uganda, Kenya, and Sudan. He fosters inclusive market growth, partnering with private sector companies to enhance smallholder farmer access to finance, inputs, information, skills, and output markets, catalysing sustainable economic development
