The BCCM consortium joints 7 decentralised biological resource centres with complementary expertise. Together, we aim to
- acquire, preserve and distribute microbial and genetic resources,
- identify and characterize these biological materials and
- offer customer-oriented services.
Our eventual goal is to increase the understanding of microorganisms and their function in ecosystems, and foster the industrial application of biological resources.
