Public collection - Private collection - Strain analysis - Training Public collection: The BCCM collections provide long term storage and handle all administrative and technical aspects of quality controls and distribution to third parties, freeing up valuable time for you to invest in innovative research! BCCM/DCG is the only culture collection worldwide specialized in diatoms, the most species-rich and ecologically important group of algae. Other microalgae of interest from a scientific or industrial perspective are also included in the BCCM/DCG collection. The BCCM/ULC Cyanobacteria Collection is a small and dedicated public collection, currently containing one of the largest collections of documented (sub)polar cyanobacteria worldwide. Private deposits: Next to a public collection, all BCCM collections provide private storage as a service. Be it as a quality-controlled safe deposit, or simply as a renting of cryostorage room. Strain analysis: The BCCM collections provide a range of service analyses related to identification, characterisation and isolation of all microbial resources. Training: The BCCM collections offer both theoretical and hands-on training in laboratory techniques, management of a culture collection and legal aspects (Nagoya protocol, Budapest Treaty,...)
