Information
The purpose of this program is to educate the intermediate urologic PA/APN, allied health professional and nurse in providing the best contemporary care to urologic patients.
Target Audience: Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Advanced Practice Nurses, Registered Nurses, Nurse Navigators, and other allied healthcare professionals at the Intermediate Urologic Practice level.
After participating in this CME Activity, Participants will be able to:
1. Select appropriate alternative treatment options for NMIBC.
2. Analyze the difference between knowing when active surveillance is appropriate vs when treatment is appropriate.
3. Evaluate renal masses and identify appropriate nonsurgical management strategies.
4. Assess and create a differential diagnosis of a 24-hour urine collection in the setting of kidney stones.
5. Optimize renal stone patient counseling, perioperative care, and follow-up using knowledge of contemporary surgical options.
6. Provide comprehensive recurrence prevention for patients with metabolic stone disease.
7. Analyze complex testosterone cases, differentiate evidence-based indications versus contraindications and formulate monitoring and referral plans.
Accreditation:
The American Urological Association (AUA) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Credit Designation:
The American Urological Association designates this live activity for a maximum of 4.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Other Learners:
The AUA is not accredited to offer credit to participants who are not MDs or DOs. However, the AUA will issue documentation of participation that states that the activity was certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.
