Information

The session explores whether our current approach to systems change is broad, long-term, and ambitious enough to drive real transformation. Through real-world examples of both early-stage success (Aquaculture) and failure (Cotton), Gatsby will highlight the risks and rewards of working toward ambitious long-term systems change and will examine the role of government in fostering such change.

The session will include a panel from MSA, GIZ and Growth Teams who will share examples of their work in resilient systems and industrial policy, addressing how their work contributes to private sector development, job creation, and economic transformation.

The session will be led by James Foster, Gatsy Africa
