Takuya Takemoto | Proposal for European tour 2024

Takuya Takemoto will introduce his performance and his first European tour in 2024.

Through subtle movements and sensations, Takemoto Takuya’s performance questions what it means for a person to stand in front of a person in the performing arts. Since 2017, Takemoto has been performing and contemplating on this question almost every day at a community center near his home, with or without the audience.

Until now, Takemoto has mainly been performing within Japan. In November 2024, he will embark on his first European tour that will include FFT Düsseldorf in Germany, and performance as part of Japan-Britain Contemporary Theatre Exchange organized by Lancaster University in the UK. He will hold a presentation to expand on these two tour dates and his performance so far.
