‘’I don’t know what it was, but I thought it was a beetle.”
When I was staying in Kinosaki, Hyogo Prefecture last year, one person, thinking for a while, said those words after seeing my performance. He doesn't usually go to the theatre and he seemed somewhat confused by my performance.
These words were oddly funny and told extremely convincingly. It was how he felt after seeing the performance. I was happy to receive such feedback.
A small transformation. It was nothing special, something that makes you want to laugh, yet
it was evidently there, a small gentle thing. Let’s try to see it.
