6steps | Dance Born from 6 Steps + Choreographic Note + Direction / 6steps｜6段の階段 + 振付書 + 演出から生まれるダンス

“6steps” is a dance piece that uses six steps as part of its choreography, and is a dance project that has been ongoing since 2020, choreographed by its originator Reina Kimura. In this work, we invited two groups of artists from different genres——team chiipro | Nanako Matsumoto, Kengo Nishimoto (performance unit) and Mayuko Matsumoto (composer)——to direct “6steps,” and create it through division of choreography and direction in the dance work. We explore the possibilities of new dance and creative activities through collaboration that divides choreography and direction.
