Guided tour of Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre
Information
Don’t miss the opportunity for a guided tour and networking opportunity at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre (Peter Mac).
As a world leading cancer research, education and treatment centre Peter Mac provides specialised, multidisciplinary care for those with cancer, inclusive of the most rare and complex cases. As the only publicly funded Comprehensive Cancer Centre in Australia, Peter Mac’s approach is driven by the relentless pursuit of excellence and a deeply embedded culture of innovation.
For over 75 years, Peter Mac has pursued better treatments, high quality care and potential cures for cancer. We are the largest cancer research site in Australia, with more than 700 laboratory and clinical researchers, nurses, and support staff working to advance cancer research and care. Our clinically directed, preclinical and clinical R&D program fast tracks the translation and commercialisation of our discoveries. Peter Mac’s researchers collectively publish more than 1000 journal articles annually - nearly a quarter of them in high-impact-journals.
A bus will depart from the Pan Pacific Hotel at 1:00 pm and return at the same location at 4:30 pm at the latest.
