Anaerobic Digestion (AD) bags made from Aquapak's Hydropol™

AD bags made from Hydropol™, an Aquapak product, are fully dissolvable and break down fully in both mesophilic and thermophilic systems. They contribute to the gas yield and reduce waste plastic removal costs. No de-bagging is required as they do not clog filters or conveyors. When fully digested, they will not form microplastics in the digestate and meet the requirements of PAS 110. They are also non-toxic and marine-safe.

Our collaborative trial process means we work with AD plants plus waste collection and waste management companies to develop suitable testing and verification programmes for their systems.
