Aquapak PolymersAnaerobic Digestion (AD) bags made from Aquapak's Hydropol™ AD bags made from Hydropol™, an Aquapak product, are fully dissolvable and break down fully in both mesophilic and thermophilic systems. They contribute to the gas yield and reduce waste plastic removal costs. No de-bagging is required as they do not clog filters or conveyors. When fully digested, they will not form microplastics in the digestate and meet the requirements of PAS 110. They are also non-toxic and marine-safe. Our collaborative trial process means we work with AD plants plus waste collection and waste management companies to develop suitable testing and verification programmes for their systems. About Aquapak Aquapak develops and manufactures marine-safe and non-toxic hydrophilic polymer resin pellets. They enable users to maintain the primary function of their products whilst designing in end-of-life such as recyclability and anaerobic digestion. Aquapak polymer such as Hydropol™ can be used on its own to replace traditional, single-use polymers or combined with other materials to create products and packaging solutions for many different industries. Examples include: water soluble Anaerobic Digestion (AD) Bags used to convert food waste into energy and water soluble infection control bags which have been used by the NHS and keyworkers to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
