Padró & Co. Reserva Especial

Reserva Especial red vermouth pays tribute to the sweet Tarragona Clàssic liqueur wines made in our area during the 19th century. In the final coupage, we add a small amount of solera wine that has been aged in 7,000-litre oak vats and which has been used for generations at the Padró family winery, as well as, of course, the winemaker’s own special touch of vermouth herbs. The final coupage is aged for 18+ months in ex-sherry casks. Aromas in the glass are intense, sweet and striking. Dried figs, roasted hazelnuts and green walnuts in particular, from the prolonged ageing. A warm and very smooth palate with flavours of licorice and medicinal herbs encased in sweet notes and the slightly bitter tang of molasses.
