Onshore Wind Conference 2026
Delivering for today. Planning for tomorrow.
With 2030 fast approaching, the onshore wind sector a has a bold ambition to deliver a robust onshore wind pipeline by the end of the decade. But planning for the sector beyond 2030 is vital.
The Clean Power Action Plan sets out a near-term target, while the Strategic Spatial Energy Plan (SSEP) will determine the future of the sector through to 2050. Together, these policy frameworks signal a shift from focussing on individual projects to system-wide outcomes – with implications for planning, investment, supply chains, communities and long-term asset management.
The Onshore Wind Conference, co-organised by Scottish Renewables and RenewableUK, will bring together industry, government and the supply chain to discuss how onshore wind can continue delivering today while preparing for the next phase of growth.
Across two days, we’ll explore the practical realities of building onshore wind projects, the transition to strategic planning, grid reform, routes to market, repowering and the value onshore wind can deliver to all parts of the UK.
