Information

Are you a qualified Nurse specifically experienced in rehabilitation and trauma injury management? Have you been thinking about how to further develop and enhance your clinical career by exploring the rewarding professional opportunities within the private/independent rehabilitation sector? Are you interested in private case management, but have been unsure how to transfer your valuable knowledge and skills into this area? If so, Medicess can help and we want to talk to you… Medicess is a well-established, market leading, award winning, doctor-led rehabilitation provider. We are the only independent rehabilitation provider in the UK to uniquely manage our clients recoveries through our doctor-led multidisciplinary teams. Due to continued expansion we are looking for home based full time or part-time Rehabilitation Case Managers to join our supportive and knowledgeable rehabilitation team. We would be keen to talk to you if you have 5+ years post graduate experience, or 3+ years recent experience in catastrophic injury such as ABI, SCI, complex orthopaedic or amputee management. Ideally you will have been devising and implementing rehabilitation programmes, working in a client centred way, using your initiative and resourceful creativity to meet your clients individual needs. You do not need to have experience of the private case management sector, as will provide a comprehensive company induction and on-boarding training package. You will become a valued member of our multi-disciplinary rehabilitation team, receiving on-going training, paid CPD opportunities and support. Although our rehabilitation managers are home based, our dedicated clinical team meets regularly virtually and also in person once a quarter, plus you will have the additional support of our highly experienced administrative team. You will be employed on a permanent basis, with full-time and part-time opportunities available. About You:- Do you have 5 years post graduate experience?
MedicessMedicess is an independent nationwide multi-disciplinary rehabilitation company. We implement and manage rehabilitation and return-to-work programmes for individuals who have suffered moderate to complex/catastrophic injuries. We manage our rehabilitation programmes uniquely using a multidisciplinary doctor-led approach. Working with a wide range of clients including Insurers, Solicitors, Loss Adjusters and Employers, we provide vocational and rehabilitative intervention at the earliest possible stage to assist the patient’s clinical recovery and safe, sustainable return to the workplace. Our Mission: Rehabilitation has to make a difference. We are dedicated to operating with clinical and vocational excellence in order to accelerate recovery and facilitate the best possible outcome for our patients. Our Philosophy: We believe that effective case management requires a holistic understanding of the patient’s needs. Each patient is an individual and it is therefore essential that rehabilitation is tailored to specific needs, rather than adopting a ‘one size fits all’ approach. We employ a multi-disciplinary team approach to ensure that expertise is drawn from the appropriate medical and vocational disciplines. Every case is overseen by a GMC registered Doctor and our Case Managers are from a variety of health professions, including Psychologists, Physiotherapists, Nurses and Occupational Therapists. Our People: Medicess only employ high quality, experienced professionals; this applies to both our clinical and support staff. All our people undergo Continuous Professional Development and are monitored to ensure they operate within their professional and regulatory obligations. Our Regulation: Regulation is essential in the management and delivery of rehabilitation, as it protects patients’ rights, as well as assuring clinical quality, ethics, and fitness to practice. The unique way in which we manage cases means that Medicess clinicians are regulated by bodies such as the General Medical Council (GMC), the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). We are therefore duty bound to act with professional and ethical integrity and remain patient-centred. Traditional “Case Management” organisations cannot provide the same degree of regulatory reassurances.
