Information

Medicess is an independent nationwide multi-disciplinary rehabilitation company. We implement and manage rehabilitation and return-to-work programmes for individuals who have suffered moderate to complex/catastrophic injuries. We manage our rehabilitation programmes uniquely using a multidisciplinary doctor-led approach.

Working with a wide range of clients including Insurers, Solicitors, Loss Adjusters and Employers, we provide vocational and rehabilitative intervention at the earliest possible stage to assist the patient’s clinical recovery and safe, sustainable return to the workplace.

Our Mission: Rehabilitation has to make a difference. We are dedicated to operating with clinical and vocational excellence in order to accelerate recovery and facilitate the best possible outcome for our patients.

Our Philosophy: We believe that effective case management requires a holistic understanding of the patient’s needs. Each patient is an individual and it is therefore essential that rehabilitation is tailored to specific needs, rather than adopting a ‘one size fits all’ approach.

We employ a multi-disciplinary team approach to ensure that expertise is drawn from the appropriate medical and vocational disciplines. Every case is overseen by a GMC registered Doctor and our Case Managers are from a variety of health professions, including Psychologists, Physiotherapists, Nurses and Occupational Therapists.

Our People: Medicess only employ high quality, experienced professionals; this applies to both our clinical and support staff. All our people undergo Continuous Professional Development and are monitored to ensure they operate within their professional and regulatory obligations.

Our Regulation: Regulation is essential in the management and delivery of rehabilitation, as it protects patients’ rights, as well as assuring clinical quality, ethics, and fitness to practice. The unique way in which we manage cases means that Medicess clinicians are regulated by bodies such as the General Medical Council (GMC), the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

We are therefore duty bound to act with professional and ethical integrity and remain patient-centred. Traditional “Case Management” organisations cannot provide the same degree of regulatory reassurances.
