
EU – Zimbabwe Business Forum 2025: Unlocking Trade and Investment Under the Global Gateway
The EU - Zimbabwe Business Forum is an inaugural event that seeks to promote trade and investment between the EU and Zimbabwe, within the framework of the Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) and the Global Gateway respectively.
The 3 day event will target key sectors driving Zimbabwe’s economic growth i.e. horticulture and agro-processing; renewable energy; and the mining value chain. Cross-cutting topics will include financial services and transport & logistics
Zimbabwe is strategically located in Southern Africa, with access to a large and growing regional market (SADC, COMESA, AfCFTA), and contributing significantly to regional trade and connectivity. In addition the country is rich in natural resources, including an abundant and diverse mineral resource base; thus providing a unique combination of attributes crucial in investment and trade potential for international businesses.
The EU Zimbabwe business forum is scheduled to take place from 20 – 22 May 2025 at the Hyatt Regency, Meikles Hotel in the Central business district of Harare. It will run over three days, structured as follows:
- Day 1: Main conference and sector-specific sessions on Horticulture, renewable energy and mining value chain + EU companies exhibitions
- Day 2: Sector specific sessions access to funding, transport & logistics, B2Bs and B2Gs meetings and networking reception with policy-makers, business regulators, sector representatives + EU companies exhibitions
- Day 3: Field visits to potential investment partners and special economic zones + debriefing session for EU companies.
