Project Pitch

Nutropia Poultry & Feed is developing a greenfield compound-feed mill in Debre Birhan to address Ethiopia’s urgent need for affordable, high-quality poultry feed. The project includes a 3-ton/hour turnkey feed mill supplied by Shanghai ZhengChang and is designed as the foundation for a fully integrated poultry enterprise.

The business model combines feed production with contract-farmer integration and phased downstream expansion into broiler farming and processing. By securing reliable feed supply, providing technical support to growers, and scaling local production capacity, Nutropia aims to reduce feed shortages, improve productivity, and accelerate Ethiopia’s protein transition.

Operations focus on efficient production, quality assurance, and building a resilient supply chain that links rural cooperatives with rapidly growing urban demand.
