Project Pitch
The Digital Ecosystem – Connect to Community Groups project enables community groups in Ethiopia to transition from cash-based operations into fully digital, financially connected ecosystems. The platform provides secure digital cash handling, real-time financial access, and capacity-building tools that empower groups to become digitally self-sufficient.
Through integration with financial service providers, the platform creates a scalable distribution channel for financial products, while also enabling governments, NGOs, and institutions to deliver health and climate resilience services to underserved communities. Gamification features further enhance engagement and adoption.
With an investment of EUR 1.5 million, Jamii plans to expand operations across Ethiopia, onboard 50,000 additional community groups, strengthen digital infrastructure, and integrate new financial service providers. The model is highly scalable and replicable across markets, offering strong potential for both impact and growth while advancing financial inclusion and digital transformation.
