The SOLA Group is a vertically integrated renewable energy company aiming to transform Africa through clean energy. The SOLA Group offers all stages of solar PV implementation: from project development and financing, design, procurement and construction, to the operations and maintenance of solar PV facilities.
SOLA has designed and built over 50 MW of embedded-generation solar PV projects, mostly for the private sector, and developed over 305 MW solar PV projects in Africa, making it one of the largest solar companies in South Africa.
Why are we at this Summit?
SOLA believes that business will benefit from having access to the cheapest, cleanest form of energy in Africa. This applies especially to mines, that are often remotely located with little or limited electrical grid access and excellent solar resource. Through our solar PV and energy storage microgrids, we offer mining clients the opportunity to save costs and reduce carbon emissions in their mining operations, whilst maintaining operational reliability and efficiency and taking control of costs and risks .
