C4T Conference - 4th Edition

C4T Conference - 4th Edition

The fourth edition of the C4T Conference will take place on June 17 – 18, 2026.

This year’s C4T Conference, hosted by DG REGIO and the C4T Secretariat, will bring together Managing Authorities, regional and local authorities, practitioners and other stakeholders interested in implementing investments under Policy Objective 2 (PO2) of the 2021-2027 Cohesion Policy. The 2026 edition will highlight how sustainability, competitiveness and resilience are interconnected, and how Cohesion Policy can accelerate high-quality, future-proof investments.

Day 1 of the Conference is exclusively open to members of the C4T Community of Practice and will be fully in-person. This Community-focused day will facilitate peer exchange, science-policy-practice collaboration, and structured discussions among the Working Group (WG) members, Academic Sounding Board (ASB) members, and Technical Assistance (TA) beneficiaries. Jointly, they will explore the finalised 2025-2026 WG Actions and ASB Knowledge Pieces as well as help scope the next cycle of WG Actions and Knowledge Pieces via strategic and structured interactions.

Day 2 is open to a broader audience and focuses on the wider policy context surrounding the advancement of the Cohesion Policy PO2 implementation. The morning session (which will be livestreamed) is made up by keynote interventions and high-level panel discussions which will help the audience explore PO2-related policy developments and high-level programmes. The afternoon session (which will be in-person) will focus on how sustainable transition can act as a driver of regional competitiveness, with three parallel thematic break-out discussions centred around PO2-related projects that relate to PO2 specific objectives (1) energy efficiency, (2) climate change adaptation, and (3) enhancing protection and preservation of biodiversity.

Throughout the Conference, relevant tools, projects, and insights will be showcased to offer participants opportunities to exchange experiences and strengthen networks to contribute to driving forward regional competitiveness via sustainable transitions.
