Building Bridges: Meeting Point on Art & Social Action in Asia

The Meeting Point on Art & Social Action in Asia is a process-driven platform where people in this field can convene on the issues that are important to them, in a safe and supportive space.

Our theme for the 2025 Meeting Point on Art & Social Action is Building Bridges. Together with our local hosts in Vientiane, we want this Meeting Point to open up new pathways for connecting the local Laos arts scene and practitioners, organisers and policymakers from elsewhere in Asia.

More broadly we want to challenge ourselves to consider what bridges we in the arts, culture and society space need to be building with other sectors. What relationships do we need to work on so that we can see arts on the agenda for development, the economy and sustainability across the region? What do we need to learn and to change, so that we can build new partnerships? Of course, the Meeting Point continues to offer space for practitioners to build your own bridges with each other, and to find time and space for connecting with new friends.
