Better Politics Week

What is Better Politics Week

Trust in politics is collapsing. Climate pressures are mounting. AI is reshaping how governments operate. And most efforts to fix politics stop at the diagnosis — identifying what's broken — without doing the hard work of actually building something better.

Better Politics Week 2026 brings together innovators, funders, and political leaders in Brussels to close that gap. We call it the "elbow grease gap": the distance between bold reform ideas (the audacious) and the grinding, unglamorous work of making them real (the boring). Both matter. Neither gets enough attention on its own.

We're especially focused on Political Leadership Entrepreneurs (PLEs) — the people and organizations training, supporting, and developing political leaders — alongside political parties themselves. These are the people working on the machinery of politics: candidate pipelines, leadership development, governing skills, transitions of power. The stuff that rarely makes headlines but determines whether democracies actually function.

We're meeting in Brussels because it's where European political influence concentrates, and because the approaches we're developing need to hold up beyond any single country.
