Fun Fact: In its early years Lakewood was known as the “playground” for the region’s elite who would come down from Seattle on the weekends to enjoy the lakes, golf courses and other amenities, this included the Weyerhauser family (yes, of forestry fame) whose home was on Gravelly Lake.
Lakewood celebrated it's 25th Anniversary of incorporation in 2021. Located next to Joint Base Lewis-McChord, on Interstate-5, within the Puget Sound Region, Lakewood is strategically located for growth.
