You are welcome to register in-person in the lobby of the Nimoy Theater starting at 12:30 pm.Join the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television with UCLA's Center for the Art of Performance and DataX for a dialogue with artists and technologists about opportunities and challenges at the intersection of the live arts with contemporary AI.*Please note that, due to a scheduling change, will.i.am is no longer able to join us for the opening session. We appreciate his early support and hope to collaborate in the future.We will host speakers from the cutting-edge of AI + Live Arts, including Kate Elswit (Royal Central School of Speech and Drama), Raza Ahmad (Niantic), Edgar Miramontes (CAP), Kate Ladenheim (UCLA), Michael Rau (Stanford), and a live demonstration of Being: The Digital Griot by artist Rashaad Newsome.Agenda:The Summit's Main Program: 1:00-4:30 pmReception + Student Hackathon Poster Sessions: 4:30-6:00 pmParking at The Nimoy:The entrance to the parking lot is on Glendon Avenue, directly to the left (north) of the Los Angeles Public Library, Westwood Branch. The actual address for GPS is 10866 Wilshire Blvd. As you exit the parking structure, it is just a short walk to the venue along Wilshire Blvd or Wellworth Avenue. Enter through either of the two marked VISITOR entrances. Upon arrival, take a ticket from the automated booth, enter and park anywhere in the structure that is not marked RESERVED. Parking for all CAP UCLA shows begins 1 hour before the lobby opens. Entering before this will incur the $30 day parking fee.Patrons have the option to pay their ticket at the pay station as they are exiting the lot or pay at the exit gate, however you are encouraged to pay as exiting the structure to save time after the performance.*Please Note: Surface lot immediately behind The Nimoy is not open on evenings and weekends and is not operated by UCLA. Be advised that we can’t be responsible for any cars that may be towed or ticketed outside of the lot designated for The Nimoy.
