GOLDEN SANDS ECO LODGEProject description
The Golden Sands Eco Lodge project will be situated within Lake Malawi National Park, specifically at Cape Maclear in Mangochi District, Southern Malawi. This exclusive, deluxe eco-lodge will showcase a unique and breath-taking beach environment, constructed primarily using locally sourced materials. The earmarked location for the project is in an area of exceptional natural beauty with the rugged landscapes around it contrasting with the remarkably clear waters of the lake.
The earmarked project encompasses a 4-5 star eco-lodge with 40-60 rooms, and a conference facility accommodating up to 100 participants. The infrastructure will require green and climate controlling facilities. The development should seamlessly integrate the eco-lodge into the surrounding lake environment. The facilities will be designed with ecotourism and sustainable infrastructure principles in mind, incorporating creativity and innovation. The facility should include additional activities like Scuba diving, snorkelling, kayaking, swimming, hiking, sport fishing, zipline, glass bottom boat rides, sunset viewing, playground rides (slides, see-saws, swings), photography and cultural activities that primarily integrate community participation. The investor is expected to bring in the amenities and new construction on the site.
The development should have minimal impact on the natural surroundings and fits in into the physical environment with particular attention to design and landscaping as well as building materials.
