WELCOME TO THE 1ST MALAWI-EU INVESTMENT FORUM!
The overall objective of the Investment Forum is to provide a platform for joint analysis, collaboration, learning, and growth, ultimately contributing to the success and prosperity of the participating businesses and the EU and Malawi economies.
The specific objectives of the Investment Forum are as follows:
- To provide a hybrid (virtual and physical) platform for national institutions and commercial entities, EU private businesses and the EU Delegation to identify suitable incentives, policies, regulations or initiatives aimed at attracting more investments from EU private sector and to help improve the business environment in Malawi.
- To provide an accurate assessment of regulations, market trends, consumer preferences, development partners’ related action, competitive landscapes and emerging opportunities in agriculture, energy and tourism sectors to help EU companies and other players get an in-depth knowledge of the concerned industries in Malawi.
- Based on the above assessment, to identify suitable entry points and incentives for investment and market opportunities for actors involved in agriculture, energy and tourism sectors and engage in discussions providing concrete investment opportunities for EU companies with members of Malawi administrations and potential private partners.
