Breakout 1B: Learning from experience: principles of good PSD practice

This session will explore key lessons for funders and implementers aiming to drive inclusive growth. It will emphasise the need for a deliberate and focused ‘learning by doing’ approach, granting implementers flexibility to adapt their work for greater impact while ensuring funders offer that same flexibility without tolerating poor practices.

Key topics include setting clear targets, building effective teams, fostering a culture of entrepreneurialism, and aligning partner roles and incentives. The session will also dive into adaptive management, where learning is integrated into the process, emphasising short result chains for faster outcomes and greater internal learning. Practical examples will be shared and discussed.
