Peter started his career as a mechanical engineer in the oil industry after which he joined the ILO as an economist in Ethiopia and Senegal. Peter joined a large MSD programme in Bangladesh called Katalyst, first as a manager and later as the team leader. For 10 years he then led the agricultural CAVAC programme and the Investing in Infrastructure programme in Cambodia before joining Gatsby Africa for 5 years in 3 leadership roles. Peter believes that private sector programmes can have a large impact on those who need it if one gets a few things right. Success requires support to innovations by companies and governments by a fit-for-purpose team that is reflective, adaptive, and entrepreneurial.
