Mahlet Seifu Woldeabraham is a development professional with more than 16 years of dynamic experience. Mahlet is a Market Systems Development Expert and a qualified Program Manager. Mahlet’s technical lead expertise spans across private sector engagement in development, humanitarian programs, women, and youth engagement to enhance employment and diversify economic opportunities. Mahlet is passionate about enhancing women's economic engagement where she led a pilot Childcare service at the workplace and in public primary schools in the capital of Ethiopia-Addis Ababa. Mahlet has worked with different INGOs; Mercy Corps (in Ethiopia, Uganda & Zimbabwe) and CARE and Giz. Mahlet’s professional journey has significantly contributed to flagship complex Program programs in Mercy Corps Ethiopia under Pastoral Areas Improvement through Market Expansion (PRIME), Livelihood Improvement for Women and Youth (LIWAY), Resilience in Pastoral Areas (RIPA) where she provided invaluable technical guidance and leadership support as a Team Lead and a Director.
