Today's two Kyogen pieces with commentary are Hagi Daimyo and Roren. In Hagi Daimyo, a servant called Taro Kaja struggles to get a rugged feudal lord to learn a Japanese poem. In Roren, an innkeeper who wants to become a Buddhist priest asks a travelling priest to give him a new Buddhist name.
