APAC Investment is a Malawian-owned business venture that started as a sole trader established in 2013 and then fully registered as a company in 2022. APAC began as a fresh imported tilapia fish distributor for a Zambian Company called Lake Harvest. It started selling Lake Harvest fish brands through one market outlet in Mchinji district, about 120 kilometers west of Lilongwe City. APAC’s business strategy revolves around the fish aggregation and off-taking model: the model is underpinned by; a stable supply of fish feed raw materials (soya cake); a feed production mill that produces high-quality floating fish feed; and a well-functioning out-grower scheme of 2000 local fish farmers run by organized commercial producer groups.
