The European bison reigned across its continental turf for hundreds of thousands of years. Some of them are still living in Poland’s Bialowieza, the last primeval forest in the whole of Europe. Almost 3,000 individuals inhabit this unique ecosystem but they’re running out of room. In this documentary, we follow them until the age of two, at which point they head off on a journey to Romania.
