The discovery of cave paintings on the Madre de Dios archipelago by explorers from Centre Terre has restored a sense of pride in the nineteen remaining Kawesqar people, creating unwavering links between the French explorers and the native Patagonians. Set amidst a breath-taking landscape, together they will explore this island, discover its extraordinary geological sites along with its incredible abysses and caves, all while identifying plant and animal species. Together they will navigate secluded land, searching for archaeological traces left behind by the ancestors of these people, nicknamed “the nomads of the sea”.
