Information

Ernie Nathaniel is a videographer, editor, and producer who has been in the photography and video business since his university days when he studied Science, Engineering, and Psychology, but he actually made his first 8mm film at just 6 years old. In 2002, he founded Interlace Media, Inc., a multimedia video production company, where he is chief editor. He has edited non-profit promos, industrials, commercials, and documentaries which have aired on national broadcasters such as CBC. As well, he has produced, directed, and edited over 750 thirty-minute faith-based programs that air nationally across Canada. Ernie has directed many multi-camera shoots and award-winning music productions, spanning 25 years of work. He has worked with local documentarians like Charles Konowal, and award-winning cinematographers such as his friend, the late Barry Lank. Ernie’s degree in psychology draws him to questions on how we communicate, especially in our current time when people so easily ignore the facts. Nowhere is this truer than for environmental and climate change topics, for these important issues seem to be dismissed by huge swaths of the population. Therefore, Ernie has a strong passion for making the truth known through documentary. Ernie’s two daughters are in the artistic field: One has a Fine Arts degree and has shot for a Discovery Channel series; the other has a music degree, and her music has appeared in a documentary Ernie edited. He has raised his children with a strong belief in the importance and value of documentaries as one of the most important communication tools to educate, elevate, and motivate.
