Key points highlighted during the interview:
• La Roche-Posay will become the founding partner of a pioneering wellness initiative being offered by Alfred Cancer, the world-class cancer care focused division of Alfred Health.
• Developed to align and compliment Alfred Cancer’s approach to treating the whole person and their wellbeing beyond traditional treatments, the ‘All of You’ initiative will support cutting-edge services across melanoma and skin cancer, medical oncology, radiation oncology and haematology.
• Furthering Alfred Cancer’s holistic model of integrative oncology and wellness therapies, La Roche Posay will collaborate with Alfred Cancer to help address the specific skin-related challenges faced by cancer patients, such as skin toxicity, a common issue with chemotherapy, radiotherapy and immunotherapy treatments.
• The initiative will see La Roche-Posay educate healthcare professionals, patients and carers plus provide patients with support kits and products.
• The goal is to reach 150 patients and educate 300 health care professionals in the program’s first year.
• La Roche-Posay raises awareness about the dermatological side effects of cancer treatment (educating both healthcare professionals and the public) and provides expertise on caring for the skin for a better quality of life.
