Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) production is less than 0.1% of total aviation fuel consumption and while there is no winning technology to rapidly increase supply, SAF offers significant potential to reduce aviation emissions*. Shell Aviation intend to supply a significant share of the available supply to the market by working with others including the world’s largest producer of SAF, World Energy. Meeting the aviation industry’s fuel and lubricant requirements, Shell Aviation operates in over 60 countries. On average, we refuel an aircraft every 14 seconds. Every day, we supply 72 million litres of fuel on average.
