Torcicoda, Primitivo

Torcicoda is a pure Primitivo wine produced by Tormaresca with grapes sourced from the Maìme Estate, a suitable coastal area in San Pietro Vernotico. The grapes are harvested just slightly overripe to concentrate sugars and polyphenols. The wine stands out for its aging of 10 months in barriques of French and Hungarian oak, followed by 8 months in the bottle. The result is a soft, rich, pleasant, and elegant red, with intense aromas of plum, blackberry, and raspberry combined with spicy notes of pepper, coffee, and cocoa. On the palate is soft and generous with good structure sustained by an elegant tannic texture.
