Gallaecia was the name the Romans gave to the northwest
region of the Iberian Peninsula, where the Celts settled, which
is now known as Galicia. Martín Códax Gallaecia results from
many years of growing Albariño and represents the
recognition of this varietal as one of the best and more
versatile white grapes in the world. It is a dry wine with noble
botrytis, a unique Albariño wine due to its balance and
complexity of aromas.

VINIFICATION
Martín Códax Gallaecia is a late harvest wine made from
grapes with a high percentage of noble rot, a phenomenon
that occurs in exceptional vintages, which makes the
production and singularity of this wine even more special.
During this time of overripening, the botrytis cinerea develops
naturally in the grape, which gives it the concentration and
aromatic characteristics typical of late harvest wines.
Once the grapes have been harvested, the whole bunches
are pressed at low pressure. Fermentation takes place in
stainless steel vats, and the wine then undergoes a reductive
ageing of 3 years.
The result is an Albariño that can only be described as
unique and special, enveloping and balanced.
