Château Duplessis is a distinguished Cru Bourgeois from Moulis-en-Médoc, with roots dating back to the 15th century. When Philippe Ferrier acquired the estate in 2015, he began a new chapter, investing in the vineyards, winery and cellars while developing a clear vision for the style of wine he wanted to create. By refining the vineyard composition and working more closely with the individual terroirs, Philippe has shaped Château Duplessis into a more precise and distinctive expression of Moulis.
Today, the wine reflects that vision: elegant, fresh and generous, with concentrated dark fruit, subtle spice and beautifully structured tannins. Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon form the backbone, complemented by Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, while the estate continues to explore the character of its different parcels. The result is a contemporary Bordeaux with a strong sense of place — combining the heritage of Moulis-en-Médoc with Philippe Ferrier’s personal approach to winemaking. The estate is quietly establishing itself as one of the names to watch in Moulis-en-Médoc.
