ADEGAMÃE

Founded by the Alves family of the Riberalves Group, Portugal's largest Bacalhau (salt cod) supplier, ADEGAMÃE was established as a tribute to the family's matriarch, Manuela Alves. Its name, which translates to "Mother's Winery," reflects the family's values and their commitment to creating a lasting legacy rooted in quality, tradition, and innovation. The name Dory, featured in one of the winery's first wine collections, also pays homage to the first fishing boat used by the family's cod fishing business.

Created to celebrate its place of origin, ADEGAMÃE is dedicated to showcasing the finest grapes and crafting wines that express the unique character of the Lisbon wine region. Since its founding, the winery has combined respect for tradition with a forward-thinking approach to viticulture and winemaking.

The winery's winemaking program is led by renowned Portuguese oenologist Diogo Lopes. After studying winemaking and completing an internship in Napa Valley, he began his career in the Alentejo region in 2005 before consulting across several of Portugal's leading wine regions. Since joining ADEGAMÃE in 2010, Diogo has worked with both indigenous and international grape varieties, continually exploring innovative techniques to produce wines of exceptional quality that authentically reflect their terroir.
