ESMIL Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) systems provide efficient separation of suspended solids, fats, oils and grease (FOG), fibers, precipitated contaminants and biological sludge from municipal and industrial wastewater.
Every ESMIL DAF system is engineered around the actual wastewater characteristics and required treatment result - not selected by flow rate alone. Hydraulic and solids loading, contaminant properties, chemical conditioning, floc formation, recycle flow, air-to-solids ratio and sludge handling are evaluated for each project.
Key advantages include:
• Project-specific hydraulic design
• High-efficiency air saturation with premium EDUR multiphase pumps
• Fine and consistent whitewater dispersion
• Proprietary counter-current sludge removal
• Dense flotation sludge with reduced water carryover
• No submerged moving mechanisms
• Intelligent control of flow, air, chemicals, pH and sludge removal
• Premium industrial components and stainless-steel construction
• Easy integration with upstream and downstream equipment
ESMIL offers lamella-assisted compact, straight-flow and open DAF configurations. The optimum design is selected according to hydraulic load, solids concentration, fouling potential, available footprint and treatment objective.
Typical applications include food and beverage processing, dairy, meat and poultry, pulp and paper, chemical and petrochemical production, oil refining, metal processing, municipal wastewater treatment, biological sludge separation and sludge thickening.
Under suitable hydraulic and chemical conditions, properly engineered ESMIL DAF systems can achieve up to 98% suspended-solids removal and up to 95% FOG removal. Actual performance is confirmed individually based on wastewater data, laboratory testing and agreed design conditions.
ESMIL DAF: stable effluent quality, dense sludge and predictable operation.
