At CARIAD, we are building a unified technology and software platform, including a vehicle OS, vehicle cloud platform and new unified architecture for all of Volkswagen Group’s brands, e.g. Porsche, AUDI or Volkswagen. In the future, our cars will learn and inspire our customers with new digital skills and features every day, from more intelligent cockpits, to automated driving, new energy & charging solutions, as well as innovative mobility solutions and services.
Our fields of work:
Vehicle & Cloud Platform: We are creating one unified software platform for Volkswagen Group. We are working on a uniform, standardized operating system for more than 10 million Volkswagen Group vehicles per year, VW.OS. With Volkswagen Automotive Cloud we are building up a globally networked, cloud-based ecosystem for our cars. Our AI and machine learning capabilities will enable us to make use of the vast amount of data to make automotive mobility safer, more comfortable and more sustainable.
Intelligent Body & Cockpit: We are developing a standardized cockpit and body platform for all future electronic architectures to provide carefree comfort in the user experience space across all Volkswagen Group brands.
Automated Driving: We are working on one unified tech stack for best-in-class automated driving and parking as well as advanced driver assistance systems. In developing our functions for the biggest vehicle fleet on the market, we will make automotive mobility safer and create the new comfort of driving.
Vehicle Motion & Energy: We are creating best in class motion, chassis and energy functions and will bring them to the next level of intelligence, smartness and digitalization.
Digital Business & Mobility Services: Today, a car is defined by the digital services in and around the vehicle. We are developing and managing all prerequisites for an outstanding customer experience to enable all Volkswagen Group brands to offer outstanding mobility services – from eCommerce solutions, to frontend & backend development, as well as customer experience management and analytics.
