Information
Pruno is our historical Cru out of 100% Sangiovese: it’s the family flagship wine. It comes from an extremely strict selection of the best Sangiovese grapes from an historical single vineyard of ours. It’s an iconic and luxurious wine that leaves its mark over time. It’s able to maintain and exhance elegance and freshness, even after many years of aging, thanks to its great personality.
GRAPE VARIETY: 100% Sangiovese.
VINEYARD: 2.98 hectares (7.40 acres) in the Forlì area, in the Predappio Doc subzone at about 155 mt above sea level.
WINEMAKING: fermentation at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks at 24°C-27°C. Skin maceration for 18-20 days . Malo-lactic fermentation in both stainless steel tanks and barriques. It’s bottled unfiltered.
AGING: 18 months in French oak tonneaux (500 lt) and barriques (225 lt). Bottle aging before release.
AVERAGE BOTTLE PER YEAR: 17.300 btls.- 150 Magnum – 30 Jeroboam – 3 Mathusalem.
