The rapid emergence of Micro LED technology is driving new demands in optical measurement. As pixel sizes continue to shrink and display performance targets push towards higher luminance, wider colour gamut, and greater uniformity, accurate characterisation becomes increasingly challenging. The Konica Minolta CS-3000 Spectroradiometer has been developed to address these requirements, providing high-precision luminance, chromaticity, and spectral measurements for the development and production of advanced emissive displays, including Micro LED devices.
Combining fast measurement speed with high spectral accuracy, the CS-3000 enables engineers to evaluate the optical performance of extremely small emissive structures while maintaining traceable colour and luminance data. When equipped with specialised optics such as the FA Lens, the system is capable of measuring features as small as 0.01 mm, supporting the detailed analysis of Micro LED pixels, sub-pixels, and localised defects that may be difficult to characterise using conventional measurement approaches.
