The PLus-Spot photoluminescence system images partially and fully-processed solar panels with a variety of LED color choices (green, red, or blue) for different band gaps, with exceptional light uniformity up to full 1-Sun intensity. PLus-Spot is scalable in size from mini-modules to utility scale panels, using one or more high-resolution cameras and software image stitching.
Electroluminescence (EL) testing of finished panels can be performed as well, enabling a comparison of EL to PL images. Biased PL imaging is also possible.
The PLus-Spot is ideal for R&D, product development, and quality control in manufacturing. BrightSpot’s proprietary IMPEL software controls PL/EL hardware, acquires and stitches images, and can be connected to factory PLC systems.
