PanEL-Spot

PanEL-Spot is a Laboratory system (integrated hardware + software) for Electroluminescence imaging of solar cells & modules. The system gives you the ability to perform Electroluminescence (EL)​ imaging on a range of PV samples, from individual solar cells to full-size commercial​ panels, and everything in between. See why your cells and panels are exhibiting an ​energy shortfall, including defects such as cell cracks, wire soldering problems, ​wire breakage, potential-induced degradation (PID), and thin-film shunting. ​Configure the PanEL-Spot to meet​ your testing needs – including different power supply and camera lens options. A multi-position camera arm allows you to image cells on the enclosure surface or panels at a distance. The system is perfect for a wide range of customers and use cases including cell/panel R&D, product development, the production line, the testing lab, and post-shipment indoor testing.​ BrightSpot integrates hardware components (specialized camera, power supply, ​enclosure, and bar code reader) with its IMPEL software for device control as well as ​image capture and processing. Recipes make it easy to replicate steps such as ​camera focusing, contrast adjustment, perspective correction, and image cropping.​
