Datwyler Group - From Impedance Spectra to Wearable Performance: Practical EIS Characterization of Skin-Contact Electrodes

Electronic Textiles RESHAPED October 2026
TechBlick Event

Information

Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) has become an important tool for understanding the performance of wearable electrodes. However, translating impedance measurements into meaningful predictions of signal quality and user experience remains challenging. This presentation explores how EIS can be applied to characterize electrode-skin interfaces in wearable applications. Examples from wearable electrode development demonstrate how EIS can be integrated into engineering workflows to guide design decisions and improve test consistency.
