Business Sessions

Information

Building on the momentum of the Brussels event, this session will spotlight Mozambique’s next chapter in rural energy access: moving from project vision to investment-ready mini-grid opportunities.

Led by FUNAE, with support from SIDA/SNV and Enabel, the session will present the Project Preparation Facility under the approved GCF FP290 PURE Rural Mozambique Climate Project and its role in transforming upstream project preparation into a stronger foundation for future private sector participation.

The session will share key outputs emerging from the project preparation process across 180 authorized study sites, helping inform future site selection and clustering.

It will also explore how innovative business and financial models, combined with climate-smart Productive Use of Renewable Energy, can stimulate demand, strengthen mini-grid viability and unlock local economic value.

By connecting project preparation, productive use, market design and private sector perspectives, the session aims to position Mozambique’s mini-grid sector for a more bankable, inclusive and scalable next phase.
