Carbonsink Moçambique Lda is a subsidiary of Carbonsink Group S.r.l, part of the South Pole group since 2022. It is an environmental consultancy company, acting as a carbon project developer. In Mozambique, Carbonsink offers consultancy, advisory services and also directly implements climate mitigation projects. Carbonsink develops projects on drinking water supply and clean cooking in the category of sustainable technology (ST); and ARR and REDD+ for nature-based solutions (NBS). These projects are registered under the internationally recognized Verra and Gold Standards. In the field of clean cooking, Carbonsink has distributed more than 131,000 improved stoves, mainly the Mbaula A model, since 2014.
